Nadia Butt is a visual designer.

Nadia Butt went to the Univesity of Texas at San Antonio as an undeclared major. After taking her first studio art class she fell in love with art, and wanted to explore every medium and every creative artistic skill available. Fascinated with all the possibilities in the art world she claimed Art as her major and has since never looked back.

Once she was at the point of choosing a focus she was torn between Printmaking (primarily serigraphy) and New Media. Hoping to reach a more contemporary technological audience in this modern age, she chose New Media as her focus. She uses pop-surrealism and low brow methods, to address issues in society, culutural, visceral moments, and personal heavy hearted situations. The content includes nostalgic imagery, colors, and designs influenced by horror, fantasy, sci-fi, and metaphorical films, myths, illuminated manuscripts from "ars nova", Persian miniature paintings and ideas of futuristic dystopias. Her work ranges from digital print, illustration, painting, digital photo collage, animation/gif art, video installation and video.
